The Colour Room Policy
The Colour Room is committed to providing a high quality, friendly service. To ensure smooth and efficient bookings, whilst providing clients with the same fair service, we ask that you kindly take the time to read the salon policy and familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions of making your appointments with us.

Appointment Reminders
As a courtesy, our booking system is set up to send you a confirmation email upon booking an appointment with the salon. Please check your email booking details are correct as this will be the time and date we have in our diary. A text (SMS) and email reminder of your appointment will be sent to you 48 hours prior to your appointment. If the reminders are unable to reach you, please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrivals, missed appointments, and potential charges. Please advise us of any changes by calling the salon directly and/or via messaging platforms.

Arrival
If you are running late, please call ahead, we will always try our best to accommodate you. However; we do have to consider the impact on our other clients so occasionally it may be necessary to reschedule, or adjust your treatment to fit into the time slots that are left available.
There may be times that we also run late, if we expect this to be more than 15 minutes we will try to let you know beforehand. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Re-Booking & Busy Periods
To avoid disappointment we advise that you re-book your next appointment before leaving the salon. For those of you that are restricted to certain appointment times, it is recommended that you book your next appointment in advance to ensure you get the time and date you prefer.

Rescheduling, Cancellations & Missed Appointments
When making an appointment, we shall do our best to book a date and time that best suits you. We appreciate that sometimes you may need to change an appointment, and we will be happy to reschedule at the next available suitable time. If an emergency or delay arises on the day of your appointment, and we are able to accommodate your appointment later that same day, no fees will apply.
A 48 hour notice period is required for all changes/cancellations, or a charge of 30% will be applied to you and/or you will lose your deposit.
Forgotten/Missed appointments may incur a charge of up to 100% of the services booked. This will need to be paid in full and in advance of any future bookings.

Mobile Phones
We would like your experience at The Colour Room to be as relaxing as possible, and if you require the WiFi code please ask. If you would like to bring a laptop as you may be working, please feel free to do so. Alternatively if you would just like to sit in peace and quiet then just ask, we will not take offence. We ourselves can also be quiet during appointments - please do not take offense to this, it just means that we are concentrating on your hair.

We at the The Colour Room operate a strict no smoking policy throughout our premises, however if you do smoke it is advised that during a long appointment with processing times that you should not smoke while your colour is on. If you do require a cigarette then please let us know and we will advise a time best suitable.

Consultations and Deposits
All technical services (e.g colour, keratin, perm) require a consultation, where we will discuss your requirements and carry out the necessary tests. All colour and keratin appointments require an Allergy Alert test, which will be carried out during your consultation. If you are an existing client who is thinking of a colour change of more than 3 shades, a change between permanent and semi-permanent colour or an existing client that has not visited in the last 6 months, you will require an Allergy Alert test. If you are pregnant, you will require an Allergy Alert test 48hrs before every service. This is to ensure that we are maintaining the Terms and Conditions of our insurance. All large appointments and first time colour and keratin treatment clients require a deposit, the amount will vary depending on the cost of your service. Deposit will be taken at the time of your consultation.
